Sergio’s gap-study was carried out today and the results are quite promising. The distance of the gap between his upper and lower esophageal pouch is very close indeed. As a result, esophageal repair surgery has now been moved forward to this coming Friday. This operation date is much sooner than expected and obviously we are currently feeling both excited and nervous with the news. Sergio got a lovely toy and beautifully designed cards from senior infants in St. Audoens Primary School, Dublin and we very grateful for these kind gifts.
El test de Sergio para ver el distanciamiento se llevo a cabo hoy y los resultados son prometedores. La distancia entre la parte superior e inferior del esófago están muy cerca. Como resultado, la cirugía de union del esófago se ha adelantado a este viernes. Esta fecha de la operación es mucho antes de lo esperado y, obviamente, con las noticias estamos emocionados y nerviosos. A Sergio le han regalado un muñeco y unas tarjetas muy bonitas de losla clase de infantil en la Escuela de Primaria de San Audoens en Dublín y estamos muy agradecidos por estos regalos.
