The paralytics were turned off this morning and we weren’t waiting that long when Sergio began to show signs of waking up with his fingers and toes beginning to twitch a lot. Mammy was there when he opened his eyes and tried to smile back at her. It was a bit too early for him though as the paralytic medication was still in his system. However an hour later and with more strength regained, Sergio was delighted with himself and he had endless smiles for all around. It is such a relief to see him awake again and hopefully now he can recover his full strength over the next couple of weeks.
Los paralíticos, las drogas por asi decirlo las empezaron ha apagar esta mañana y no tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para que Sergio comenzara a mostrar signos de despertarse, los dedos de manos y pies comenzaron a temblar mucho. Mamá estaba allí cuando abrió los ojos y trató de devolverle la sonrisa. Era un poco demasiado pronto para él, pues el medicamento paralítico estaba todavía en su cuerpo. Sin embargo, una hora más tarde y con más fuerza ya recuperado, Sergio estaba encantado con él y tuvo sonrisas para todos. Es un gran alivio el verlo despierto otra vez y espero que ahora pueda recuperar toda su fuerza durante el próximo par de semanas.
