Sergio is finding it hard to wean off the ativan medication. His sleeping pattern is very much broken up and as a result he just looks exhausted in the bed. So it was brilliant to see him then smile at Mammy when she took him out for some cuddles. Tadhg his twin brother was really good today with Sergio and he got stuck into playing with him in a very gently manner. Sergio was delighted having his brother interact with him. There is a slight possibility that he may go for surgery tomorrow morning depending on a slot becoming available and we are awaiting to hear confirmation of this. The operation is called a nissen fundoplication and it will hopefully help treat his gastroesophageal reflux. It’s typically an eight hour operation and the surgeons reckon that Sergio will greatly benefit from having it done now rather than later on. It was confirmed late in the evening that he will indeed go down to surgery tomorrow as there was another cancelation.
A Sergio le está resultando difícil dejar de depender de la medicación Ativan. Su patrón de sueño está muy fragmentado y, como resultado se le ve agotado en la cama. Así que fue genial verle sonreír con mama cuando lo cojio para hacerle algo de mimos. Tadhg su hermano gemelo fue muy bueno hoy con Sergio y sobretodo delicado con él. Sergio estaba encantado de tener a su hermano interactuando con él. Hay una ligera posibilidad de que él pueda tener la cirugía mañana por la mañana en función de si alguien deja libre el paso en la lista y estamos a la espera de oír la confirmación de esto. La operación se llama funduplicatura de Nissen y se espera que ayude a tratar su reflujo gastroesofágico. Es normalmente una operación de ocho horas y los cirujanos estiman que Sergio se beneficiará enormemente de haberlo hecho ahora en vez de más adelante. Se confirmó hoy por la tarde noche que mañana Sergio tendra esta cirujia de seguro pues habia una cancelación.
