Sergio is getting higher levels of morphine and valium for the pain coming from his right leg. He doesn’t liked to be moved position in his bed and has been in a very sedated state for most of the day. The doctors want to check to see if there are any other hidden fractures that they mightn’t have spotted before, so Sergio had a full body X-ray done today. Thankfully the results show that there are no other fractures present. In the afternoon they noticed that Sergio was having some reflux up his esophagus that actually ended up in his trachea. This means that his esophagus is functioning as expected for now but will require a future operation, as part of the Foker technique, to minimise such reflux.
A Sergio le estan dando cada vez más niveles mas altos de morfina y valium para el dolor que tiene en su pierna derecha. No le gusta que le cambien de posicion en su cama y ha estado en un estado muy sedado durante la mayor parte del día. Los médicos quieren comprobar si hay otras fracturas ocultas que no se podian haber visto antes, así que a Sergio le han hecho rayos-X de todo su cuerpo. Afortunadamente, los resultados muestran que no hay fracturas presentes. Por la tarde se dieron cuenta de que Sergio tenía algo de reflujo en el esófago aunque termino en su traquea y esto significa que su esófago está funcionando como se esperaba, por ahora, aunque se requiere una operación proximamente, como parte de esta tecnica, para minimizar el reflujo.
