Unfortunately there has been no improvement in Sergio’s eyesight overnight. The neurology team wanted to do an MRI scan as a precautionary measure. The results of the MRI show that there’s no real change from the previous scan so that’s a good thing. The doctors therefore still believe that the eyesight issue relates solely to the high level medication needed to induce Sergio into his coma. Sergio is now nearly fully alert and is back playing with his rattler. It’s absolutely amazing actually seeing him back smiling and playful once again but at the same time, we are extremely anxious for his eyesight to return to normal as quickly as possible.
Lamentablemente no ha habido ninguna mejora en la visión de Sergio durante la noche. El equipo de neurología quería hacerle una resonancia magnética como medida de precaución. Los resultados de la resonancia magnética dicen que no hay cambios en cuanto a antes y que el cerebro de Sergio esta bien y eso es una buena cosa. Los médicos sin embargo todavía creen que el no reaccionar con la vista se debe a la alta medicacion. Sergio esta ahora casi alerta y vuelve a jugar con su cascabel. Es absolutamente increíble verlo sonreír y jugar una vez más, pero al mismo tiempo, estamos muy ansiosos de que recupere su vista para volver a la normalidad rápidamente a partir de lo posible.
