The schedule today was rather busy for Sergio. It started early with a Picc line needing to be inserted into his arm (he pulled it out afterwards!). Then it was straight off to another floor for a Cat scan of the brain. Dr Jennings was waiting to perform a gap study in another room. We were allowed to stay in the room to witness this procedure. Thankfully the results showed that the esophageal gap size has remained the same since the last study that was carried out in Dublin. Sergio went for an early sleep after listening to some Irish music on the tin whistle. We must enjoy and cherish Sergio’s smiles for now because as of next Wednesday, he will be induced into a deep coma.
Hoy Sergio estuvo bastante ocupado . Todo comenzó temprano con la inserción de un catéter (que mas tarde Sergio decidio arrancarlo!!) Y luego fue trasladado a otro piso para una tomografía axial computada del cerebro. Acto seguido, Dr. Jennings le estaba esperando para llevar a cabo un estudio de distanciamiento del esofago en otra habitación.
Afortunadamente, los resultados mostraron que el distanciamiento del esófago se ha mantenido igual desde el último estudio en Dublín. Por ultimo despues de todo el dia de aca para alla se durmio despues de escuchar a su padre tocar en el whistle algo de musica irlandesa.
Asi que tendremos aque aprovechar de la sonrisa de Sergio hasta el proximo miercoles que le induciran en un coma profundo.
