According to the ICU medical team, Sergio has being doing well since the operation last Thursday. The nurses are changing his bed position on the hour, thus so far so good. Since to have access to free wifi in Sergio’s room, we can easily Skype family and friends back home in Ireland. It’s brilliant for Sergio to be able to listen to the voices and music from both his Spanish and Irish families thanks to modern technology. It’s no surprise then that there’s plenty of jigs and reels flowing out of his room everyday.
Also today the Children’s Hospital held their annual family entertainment day in the front lobby. Volunteers dropped up goodie bags for all the patients and they created a welcomed fun atmosphere throughout the campus. Everybody needs cheering up now and again so it was really nice to see the hospital kids enjoying themselves with the various activities.
De acuerdo con el equipo de la UCI en el hospital, Sergio lo ha estado haciendo bien desde la operación el pasado jueves. Las enfermeras le están cambiando de posición en la cama cada hora, por lo que hasta ahora todo va segun lo previsto. Desde que tenemos acceso a wifi gratis en la habitación de Sergio, podemos fácilmente hacer Skype con la familia y amigos en Irlanda. Es genial que Sergio sea capaz de escuchar las voces y la música de sus dos familias, la española e irlandesa gracias a la tecnología moderna.
También hoy en el hospital celebraron su día anual de entretenimiento familiar en el vestíbulo principal. Voluntarios daban hasta bolsas de regalos para todos los pacientes y crearon un ambiente de diversión y bienvenida. Todo el mundo necesita animarse de vez en cuando, así que fue realmente agradable ver a los niños del hospital divertirse con diversas actividades.
