Like most other hospitals, things quieten down here at the weekend. The hospital chaplain visited Sergio today and said a lovely prayer for him. The nurses frequently change his bed position ever so slightly to prevent bed sores from occurring whilst in his coma. They are very careful to do this genteelly as there is always a risk of rupturing the tightened esophageal traction sutures. Needless to say he is being well looked after by everybody here. A beautiful event happened today. Rosa noticed that when she was talking to Sergio, his heart-rate level would increase on the monitor. It’s very true that he can hear and recognise our voices, he loves daddy plays the fiddle too.
Al igual que en la mayoría de los hospitales, las cosas se calman aquí durante el l fin de semana. El cura del hospital visitó hoy a Sergio y rezo algunas oraciones. Las enfermeras con frecuencia le cambian de posición, muy ligeramente para prevenir complicaciones durante el coma. Son muy cuidadosos cuando lo hacen pues hay un riesgo de ruptura de las suturas de tracción que pusieron para hacer crecer el esofago. No es necesario decir que está siendo bien cuidado por todos aqui en este hospital. Algo ocurrio hoy. Rosa se dio cuenta de que cuando ella estaba hablando con Sergio, su ritmo cardíaco incrementaba el nivel en el monitor. Es cierto que Sergio puede escuchar y reconocer nuestras voces, tambien le encanta cuando papa toca el violin.
