Many medical visitors dropped by today to introduce themselves. The medical team is quite vast here in Intensive Care Unit. Sergio was a little bit under the weather today as he looked slightly pale. It’s probably down to a number of factors ie the transatlantic flight, change of environment, different medical equipment including another type of ventilator machine. Arrived safe and sound in Children’s Hospital Boston. Fair play to Sergio as he has been taking everything in his stride with a smile always on his face. The enormous size of the hospital is mind boggling. We were introduced to Sergio’s surgical doctor who is Dr. Jennings. The team made us feel very welcome to their hospital. We are delighted to inform everyone that Sergio flew off to Boston on the Government jet from Baldonnell this morning with his parents, Donal and Rosa. He got a great sendoff from all the nurses and staff at the Children’s Hospital which has been his home for over a year with the exception of very brief visits to his parents home in Donnycarney.
