‘A penny or tuppence would do it no harm’
The Wrenboys were certainly out in force this St. Stephen’s Day in Dublin for the Help Sergio campaign. The hunting of the wren happened on both sides of the Liffey with Eoghan Scott coordinating the mummers on the Southside and the strawboy members of Ceoltóirà Chluain Tarbh visiting pubs and GAA clubs on the Northside of the city. The dressing up in masks and colourful motley clothing added to the fun had by all.
A very large amount of money was raised for Sergio by both groups.
Many thanks to all involved.
