The esophagus balloon dilations that are administered through his peg site are going so well. Before this new method was adopted, Sergio had to go down to the operating floor and go under anesthesia for the dilations. Now they can be done at his bedside without any sedation or pain medication and the whole procedure only takes about five minutes. Sergio had himself a wonderful day with most of the day free to do what he liked. First the play volunteer came in and spent a lot of time with Sergio out the floor on his play mat and then the Keith family paid a visit later in the afternoon. Sergio seemed to act quite shy when George was playing the fiddle to him but after a while he cheered up and enjoyed the music.

Antes de que este nuevo método fuera adoptado, Sergio tenia que bajar a la planta de operación y pasar por debajo de la anestesia para las dilataciones. Ahora se puede hacer en su cama sin medicación sedante o dolor y todo el procedimiento sólo dura unos cinco minutos. Sergio ha tenido un día maravilloso con la mayor parte del día libre para hacer lo que le gustaba. En primer lugar los voluntarios del hospital llegaron y pasaron mucho tiempo con Sergio en el suelo sobre su manta de juegos y luego tuvo visita de unos amigos a la tarde. Sergio parecía actuar bastante tímido cuando George le estaba tocando el violín, pero después de un rato se animó y disfrutó de la música.
