Sergio slept right through the night and didn’t awake until after midday. Even when awake, Sergio appears to be lethargic and extremely drowsy. Therefore the Doctors are giving him a day of rest and therefore not going to wean on the medication or ventilator settings today. We are still clueless as to the reason why Sergio is currently feeling under the weather. His lab results are all coming back normal enough and the X-rays are not highlighting any concerns. At 3pm Sergio had a major desat episode where he turned purple in the face and had to be bagged to regain a regular breathing pattern. Thankfully the medical team were at Sergio’s bedside when this episode occurred and they managed to get his levels back to normal rather quickly. His condition improved in the evening time.
Sergio durmió toda la noche y no despertó hasta después del mediodía. Incluso cuando está despierto, Sergio parece estar bastante dormido. Los médicos le están dando un día de descanso y no van a quitarle la medicación o la configuración de ventilador como se llevaba haciendo por el momento. Estamos todavía desorientados en cuanto a la razón de porque Sergio está sintiendose asi. Sus resultados de laboratorio estan bastante normal y los rayos X no dicen nada fuera de lo normal. A las 3 pm Sergio tuvo un episodio de desaturación importante donde se puso morado y le tuvieron que dar mas respiracion para que volviera a la normalidad. Afortunadamente, el equipo médico estaba alli con Sergio cuando este episodio ocurrio y se las arreglaron para volverle a sus niveles normales con bastante rapidez. Su condición mejoró a lo largo de la tarde.
I am so grateful to hear an update on Sergio! Honestly, he was on my mind all night last night so I prayed for him. Every time I would wake, the Lord put him on my mind!
