Sergio was scheduled to go for his aortopexy operation tomorrow morning to help treat his tracheomalacia. However it had to be cancelled as the surgeons had to deal with an emergency elsewhere. We were not too disappointed as we fully understand and accept the reasons behind the cancellation. His operation will be rescheduled hopefully for early next week instead. Sergio himself is doing rather well and accordingly his peg feeds have increased. We noticed though that he is sleeping a lot more than usual over the last couple of days but his vital signs remain good and stable.
La operacion de aortopexia programada para mañana por la mañana le ayudaria a tratar la traqueomalacia. Sin embargo, tuvo que ser cancelada ya que los cirujanos tuvieron que hacer frente a una emergencia en otro lugar. No estábamos muy decepcionados, ya que entendimos y aceptamos las razones de la cancelación. Su operación a cambio será programada esperemos que para la próxima semana. Sergio lo está haciendo bastante bien y por lo tanto su alimentación via sonda por el estomago se ha incrementado. Nos dimos cuenta sin embargo que está durmiendo mucho más de lo habitual en el último par de días, pero sus signos vitales siguen siendo buenos y estables.
